Age is just a number! How to Add “Life to Your Years”

  • Wednesday, October 12, 2022

Want to learn how to maximize your quality of life with energy and vitality, and how to maintain your physical, mental and emotional health as you age?

So come for a day of learning at the Healthy Aging Forum 2022, Rethinking Aging – Moving and Grooving into Healthy Aging

Held on Saturday, November 26 at the University of the Sunshine Coast, the forum will empower you to live a vibrant and balanced life as you age.

David Law, community portfolio adviser at Sunshine Coast Council, said that while people were living longer, they weren’t necessarily living with a good quality of life.

“The 2022 Healthy Aging Forum will give attendees the opportunity to learn and engage with experts from UniSC, Sunshine Coast University Hospital and other healthcare practitioners who will present the latest healthy aging research,” Cr Law said.

“You will have the opportunity to chat with vendors from local organizations and have fun during yoga sessions and ‘Move and Groove it’.

“Be entertained by MC Lynda Prout, morning presenter at Sunshine Coast radio station, Sunshine FM 104.9.

“Buy your ticket online and enjoy a day of fun, learning, and connection.”

Reservations are essential as there will be no tickets available at the door. Tickets are $15 (plus reservation fee) and include morning tea and lunch.

This event is presented in partnership by the Sunshine Coast Council and UniSC, and supported by funding from Wellways Carer Gateway and Central Queensland, Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast PHN through the Australian Government’s PHN program.
